Dear SpiritSwap Community,
Today, with a heavy heart, we must announce the winding down of SpiritSwap, a project that began its journey in April 2021, and which, for over two years, has been at the forefront of innovation and community engagement within the Fantom ecosystem.
In these last two years, we have faced challenges that tested our resilience, determination, and commitment to our mission. We weathered the storms of bear markets, where many chose to exit Fantom, we fought valiantly to boost volume, retain traders, bring out innovations with partnerships, and ensure a thriving community. However, recent events have placed a strain on our ability to continue. The unfortunate Multichain hack has left our treasury drained, and without the means to finance essential aspects of our operation - from regular development costs to operational salaries, from monthly costs to marketing.
Our primary goal has always been to serve our community, and it's with this same commitment that we wish to act transparently and responsibly. While the pain of this decision is very dear, we want to provide ample time and assistance to our community in navigating what comes next.
Right now we are looking for a team to handover SpiritSwap and will be happily assisting them in their transition period if they'd like to take control/responsibility during this period. Unless we can find a team, the winding down process will happen automatically, as the treasury has run out of funds to cover the necessary operational costs. SpiritSwap will remain operational until 1st of September, offering every member of our community the chance to safely remove their liquidity. We understand that such processes can sometimes be daunting, especially with some errors popping of here and there in the server. Therefore, our moderators will be available around the clock to assist anyone facing difficulties during this period. If you need any help, please tag MODS and we will do our best help you in this process.
Another note is that we will make another announcement exclusively for ConvergeX in the following days.
As we pen this message, we look back at the friendships formed, the partnerships forged, and the countless moments of joy and collaboration. This journey, although very challenging, has been one of the most fulfilling endeavors, and the heart of it all was you, our community. The love, support, and trust you placed in SpiritSwap have been the bedrock of all we achieved. We have been able to go through a year in the midst of the bear market with a limited treasury, thanks to all the unlimited love & support we have seen from the SpiritSwap community.
In the vast world of decentralization and cryptocurrency, challenges are inevitable. But it's the spirit of unity, collaboration, and resilience that defines us. And even in this goodbye, the spirit of SpiritSwap will live on.
We thank each and every one of you for being part of this incredible journey. Here's to the lessons learned, the challenges faced, and to a future where the ethos of SpiritSwap finds new ways to shine.
